First time I heard that Flo & Eddie song was this year too; off Late Night with the Devil. Honestly thought it was a contemporary tune meant to sound retro.

Never would I have guessed that Gucci Mane's Lemonade was a sample, let alone a sample from a 70s Power-Pop song.

Won't pretend I 'discovered' any of these songs and am probably a Yohan-come-lately for some of 'em, but they were new to me this year:

Mac Dre - Do The Crew featuring Jay Tee
Fat Boys - Can You Feel It?
World Class Wreckin' Cru - Juice
Dr. Jeckyll & Mr. Hyde - Champagne Of Rap (first time I ever listened to the entire album, loved it)
Cazal Boys - Snatching Cazals
Uncle Jamm's Army - What's Your Sign
Brand Nubian - Alladat
Black Sheep - Autobiographical
Big Mello - Back Do Akshun
Positive K - Can U Dig It featuring Grand Puba
Potna Deuce - Cool Thang
Big Mike - Daddy's Gone featuring Scarface
The Luniz - Doin' Dirt
G-Slimm - Four's Deuce's & Tray's
Da Youngsta's - Hip-Hop Ride
Freddie Foxxx - So Tough (Video Mix)
Gangsta Pat - Deadly Verses
Andre Nickatina - Killa Whale
The U.N. - Ain't No Thang
The Team - Gangsters Talkin'
R.A. The Rugged Man - How Low
Pitbull - Hustler's Withdrawal
South Coast Coalition - Murder Man Dance featuring Boosie
Big Tuck - Southside Da Realist (both the O.G. and the extended version - can't get enough of this song)
Beanie Sigel - What's The Scenario? featuring Peedi Crakk
D.R.A.M. - Cha Cha
Doughboyz Cashout - City Of Dealers
Cousin Fik - Go Ape featuring E-40
Nef The Pharaoh - M.A.C.
Mic Terror - N.W.G.
Caskey - So Bad
Cashy - Stupendous
King Louie - Til I Met Selena
Bandman Kevo - Wanna Go

List turned out longer than I expected. You put me on a bunch of these songs, stumbled on others through others and found a few of them myself. There's more but these I can trace through playlists I made.

I'm glad to see someone else feels the same way about Caskey's So Bad as me.
