Pour out a little of your favourite fluid for the O.G Electro don Juan Atkins. No lie, I've spent a significant portion of my life on the Atkins diet via his music as Cybotron, Model 500, Infiniti and his Timeless mix CD. Sadly, Atkins was one of those pioneering American electronic musik artists who was more reverred in Europe than he was in his home country: as the old saying goes, the average American thinks Juan Atkins played for Real Madrid. Still, Don Juan was the only person from the Detroit electronic musik scene who ever made a track which crossed over to become a Hip-Hop classic with Cybotron's Clear. I hope Heaven got an autobahn for Juan to have fun, fun, fun in his Cosmic Car forever ever.
