Jackin' For Brits

Percee P & Ekim ft. Pharoahe Monch - Lung Collapsing Lyrics
(From Now They Wanna See Me 12" single; 1992)

Percee P's masterpiece and a masterpiece in general. That said, it's impossible for any British Rap fan of a certain age to listen to Lung Collapsing Lyrics and not think that they heard Caveman's Fry You Like Fish and bit the whole shit. Obviously both songs were drinking from the cup of Ultramagnetic MC's, but it's still a very sneaky example of Jackin' For Brits innit?

Rhymes so crisp like Golden Wonder!

Foe Tha Love Of Money Boss

Things done changed on the Rap Internet when I'm findin' out about a new album of unreleased/rare Money Boss Players songs via Bobby Dee rather than Robbie Ett. Minnesota should just release a double CD Money Boss discography that retails for no more than $20 and isn't some stupid limited edition thing which you only have a 5 minute 3 a.m window to cop. Buying a new Rap CD - can it be all so simple again?

R.I.P to Pumpkin, I had to regulatte part 2

If you're unfamiliar with JayQuan then the best way to describe him would be Dart Adams minus the extreme autism/narcissism. Anyhoo, JQ's just dropped a Foundation lesson video on Rap's first super-producer Errol "Pumpkin" Bedward and it's the definitive breakdown of the O.G King Of The Beat's career. Proper sunday morning edutainment for zee seasoned Rap connoisseur.

Hat tip to the baby-mama champion O'Eardley for the head's up on this.
