(From A Kid Called Cudi mixtape; 2008)
After the ridiculousness of Jim Jones claiming he's responsible for Kid Cudi's Day 'n' Nite blowing up, Cudi is entitled to whip up a viral duck tale of his own. So lemme suggest this: he should claim that his beatjack of Grind Mode's She's So Fine (I'm So High) is responsible for the original blowing up. Who cares about posting the truth anymore in the post-truth era? That's one of the two Cudi songs I fuxwit because the kid accidentally took a trip offshore on the wave on that shit. His music got wiped out totally afterwards, but Maui Wowie is a notable entry in the canon of Shinola Songs By Shitty Rappers.
I feel like I was the only person who rode for the Jim Jones & Statik Selektah single last year. For those of us who enjoy Jones at his most ridiculous when he's putting the Cap into Capo, that song was an absolute treat. There was no better piece of unintentional comedy in a 2025 Rap song than when Jones said "I been in court, the DA's looking like he seen Gotti" on that shit.

Praying this "discourse" is the year's low-point from which things can only improve, but I'm doubtful.
First rule of Rap discourse: it always gets worse.
I think I was too busy digging into 90s classics in 2008 because how the hell did I miss that She's So Fine song? And why is this place the only place I've ever seen mention that song in the past decade?
At this point in time the Dipset infighting is just sad to see.
Tbh, I never heard She's So Fine and similar songs like BallGreezy's Shone back in 2007/2008 either. Westwood never played any of it, the videos never made it to the urban TV channels here and I never saw any blogs post about them at the time.
I found out about that stuff back in the mid 2010s,
Jomo is great. Had it on this morning.id still rather listen to Jim Jones rap than most other people in 2026. Could do without back and forth over all the podcasts. People still talking about something Dame Dash did or didnt do 20 years ago is not "good content".
That Crookers mix of Day N Night still goes.
I prefer the original version, meself. That remix was huge here tho wonnit?
