Johnny Come Lately The Foxx

"I remember when I couldn't get a ride, befo' I learned how to drive
Soon as I got a whip, n*ggas was ride or die
I really ain't have no money, hoes was actin' jive
Gave me the wrong number, hurted a n*gga pride
Now I'm runnin' across 'em and givin' 'em the same line
Givin' 'em the same number, knowin' it ain't mine"

Foxx - Friends
(From I'm Better Than Blessed mixtape; 2011)

Foxx single which passed me by back in 2011. Solo dolo Rouge Blues in the vein of Stressed Out, I Wonder or Man In The Mirror. It's a damn shame Foxx didn't get to release a 2nd album for Trill Entertainment back in 2012 or so, especially since the label continues to drop increasingly shitty Webbie Savage Life albums from 05 'til infinity.

Does Foxx still make music?

Yohan said he dropped a new album recently.

I had to unfollow Foxx on IG a few years back after he started flooding his feed with inspirational quotes.

FrankieThaLuckyDog put up a mixtape review of Foxx's Shakeback 2 some time ago. You can download it here: https://www.datpiff.com/Foxx-A-Mill-Shakeback-2-mixtape.1002328.html

Feature and production list are a bunch of no names for me. I'll say I enjoyed a few tracks on it (Go, Fiya Eps, Jiggy City Dumb and Ain't No Hoe), but probably more because to me their sound is something of a throwback to the vibe of those Mouse On The Track type records I've been missing.

Cheers. Will peep.

On the subject of Foxx, Shut Up was one of my favourite dis songs of last decade and I say that as someone who has long since tired of Rapper beefs.
