(From Operation Doomsday album; 1999)
Ayo yo, you can't stand right here, April 20th is gonna be ya man's worst nightmare. Why? Because the internet is gonna be awash with Operation Doomsday 20th anniversary articles by those corny Indie fux who hold the tragic opinion that Madvillainy is DOOM's masterpiece. Obviously it's now or never like Tela, and I ain't tryna suck the life outta your P4K pitch idea like Bauhaus' muse Bela, but please refrain from writing anything if you've ever worn a straw hat like Dana Dane's Cinderfella.
Not that the obscurist Rap contrarians who prefer the sloppy O.G 12" mixes of Hey!, Go With The Flow et al to the perfecto Operation Doomsday re-recordings aren't equally annoying as #Madvillianhive, mind. Shakedowns, lockdowns, and wet dreams of Mrs Brown for the lot of you.
PS: no straw hats ever unless you were Mac Dre.

Stop the Madvillian hate
I like Madvillainy. It's probably my 2nd fave DOOM album, tbh.
But it's not on the same level as good as Operation Doomsday, and the people who consider it DOOM's best shit generally tend to be corny Indie fux as typified by Anthony Faneto.
s/o to ghostface youngbloodz n wise intelligents straw hats
I recently got way more into madvilliany(which has similar og version talk) but yeh its not even close. when he ranked the doom albums W like the flying lotus one at 3 made me a lifelong fan of fanto
Not only is Operation Doomsday DOOM's best shit by a Shorty Long shot, it's also the only good thing to ever emerge from Yank comic book culture.
I can scientifically prove Operation Doomsday is better than Madvillainy: samples from Isaac Hayes, Sade, BDP, S.O.S Band, Kool G. Rap & Polo, Steely Dan, Eric B. & Rakim, Teena Marie etc will always be better than samples from obscure Jazz records.
Also the 25th anniversary of Illmatic coming up. I'm logging off everything that week.
The best MF Doom album by far is obviously that one he did with Gnarls Barkley to promote Daria. The second best DOOM album is the soundtrack for that 1993 first person shooter game.
even both of the KMD albums are better than Madvillainy. still dont understand why we havent gotten a remastered version of Black Bastards yet.
A remastered deluxe version of Black Bastards would ideally include Popcorn. Not as a bonus track, but as part of the album - preferably before Constipated Monkey.
There was a rerelease of Black Bastards in 2015 I'm not sure if it was remastered though.
It wasn't unfortunately.
It did have a 2nd CD with Popcorn, the What A N*ggy Know remix, Q3, and instrumentals of the album, though (which is why I bought it.)
Hearing the bass in the properly mastered what a n***y know single blew my mind at the time, rly made me wonder what a lot of tape only rap sounded like originally
speaking of, I got ripped off by dj paul on iTunes W remastered tapes before. it was just the same Bork blogspot Home jobs that've been round forever lol
Can't trust rappers.
