Very brief thoughts on that new Migos album

Everyone who pretended that Migos have EVER released a full length project with more than two good songs on it now have the LP they deserve: the album which goes on forever. Forever ever? Forever never seemed that long in comparison to Culture II's track listing.

Of course a certain someone was warning about glib idiots overrating Migos full lengths back in 2014.

Don’t see how their music could’ve gotten worse but Quavo boringly autotuning on every song is it. Bring back Travis Porter (“Proud to be a Problem” is a classic of Atlanta fun swag rap)

I still have no idea which Migos is which.

Just remembered that I called Migos 'Trapis Porter' back when I posted Hannah Montana (still my favourite song by them.)

Migos do there bastardizing of the Lord Infamous/ Skinny Pimp flow well enough but I can't Imagine listening to any of there projects in there entirey. @Si Mane Price speaking of Migos "OMG" by Camilla Cabello feat Quavo is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine, it would probably be up your alley.

Like Havana, OMG would be so much better if it didn't have a rapper on it innit.

^ Agreed. Is Sir-Snip-A-Lot around for a Young Thug-less edit?

@Si Mane Price interesting point I dont mind Quavo or Young Thug on those songs but it does kinda seem like a cop out cause there both trendy rappers right now.

Young Thug's weird voice should not be allowed anywhere near pop singles by ex-Fifth Harmony members, imho. I only tolerate his appearance on Havana because it leads into that killer "ohh naa naa naa/take me back, back, back" bridge afterwards.

Shit, I'm gonna have to add the I'm not a poptimist BUT... tag to this post now 😄

Migos Albums = Rap Game Ouroboros. I'm hopin' someone who sounds like they're having fun rapping like Keydofoolfunk raps over that beat to BBO, though.

I kinda agree with ya on "Havana" too. If Young Thug actually sounded like he was having fun with his verse it'd be one thing, but dude sounds bored as hell.

I think they might actually be WORSE than the Beatles.

And now, with the news that Sremm Life 3 is going to be a fucking triple, the 90s revival is now officially on, and we're at the equivalent point to just after All Eyez On Me dropped, when every rapper had to have a bloated, overblown double album.

I've been trying to get Migos cos of all this online hype but I cannot get excited about them especially the autotune and endless skrt skrt adlibs yawwwwn

Every track they're on with gucci, even though Gucci is way past his prime, his voice/charisma blows them off the map imo

Don't get it twisted - I haven't actually listened to this album.

I couldn't front on T-Shirt last year, but the way I feel about Migos post-Fight Night is the same way I felt about Das EFX post-their first album: when are these played-out hibbidyjibbidydibidy motherfuckers gonna go away?

My fave Migos song is still Chinatown. "My plug look like Pacquiao his daughter is Kitana..." Top notch problematic content.

The few Mike Dean contibutions are pretty sweet.
I like my edited version of culture II, it has like 3 songs on it and it's a great album.
