Nowadays I only like Atlanta Rap if it sounds like it's been beamed into 2025 from 2009. BunnaB pulls this aesthetic choice off better than all the Atl bois making similar music simply because it hits fresher coming out of a bird's mouth, and she knows how to knock out a Legit Jam™. Bunna Summer is her big choon, but I prefer her other singles Ice Cream Girl and Mad Again meself. All three songs answer the question - what if Yung L.A. were a wench?
Another reason why I fuxwit BunnaB: she has a song called innit. I don't particularly like that song, but I gotta love that an American Rap song has been accidentally named with one of the greatest British words ever.

I agree. If it doesn’t sound like it’ll sit comfortably in a playlist next to prime Rich Kidz or Travis Porter I’m not listening lol.
It’s like the inverse of when J Hus made a song called Opps. But that song is great.
If the beat doesn't sound like Yung L.A would have rapped on it in 2008/2009 I'm not listening
I dislike how this type of production in the second half of the 00s has now been shorthanded to 'ringtone rap' and wholly dismissed.
It was a peak. 2016 onwards of Atlanta Rap should be dismissed and forgotten.
Who would you say was the last great ATL producer? I’ll say London on da Track
I've no idea tbh. Best answer I can give you is whoever produced Flex for RHQ.
"bunna summa" reminds me of gucci gucci in the best way
those pitched down snares on "mad again" are a godsend
Post mentioning Yung L.A lures Xanaxfantasia back to The Martorialist comments.
lmaoooo busted!
literally got me looking up "futuristic leland" again which is back on youtube, been listening all day https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoeCT-uXIQ9BpCL-ikSKcXwV1f2fjJtjx
🎵 Shawdy shot me like a taser gun 🎵
After listening to her album I'm definitely picking up some Flo Milli influences. Outside of these 2 songs and maybe 1-2 others the rest of the album is sadly not good at all.
7 out of 10 rappers are incapable of making more than 4 good songs per release nowadays.
ATL more or less took every region of the south’s identity away doesn’t matter whether a rappers from Texas, Memphis, BR or ATL they all sound identical. Even some of the older rappers from those regions are guilty of it like Max Minelli been dropping forgettable projects for years now with the same tired ass trap beats.
Baton Rouge rappers had tons of unused Trel Itz A Hit beats sitting there and didn't use 'em.
