Serious question: was the M.C Sheriff intro to EPMD's Strictly Business video the official year zero for "album went ____" zingers?
(From Strictly Business album; 1988)
Finally copped that ‘Uncut Snoop Dogg Approved’ remastered CD reissue of Strictly Business earlier this year. Please believe it was worth every penny of its £2.99 price tag for the extra thump in the low-end and Snoop's own liner notes. Here's Uncle Calvin's thoughts on Jane:
"Oh, another record I like off the album. I can't even front, is Jane! That was hard; they were talkin' about the bitch Jane. That was a cold record right there. Ooo wee, that was a cold, cold, cold record Jane. Remember that right there. Heater!"
What Snoop said > whatever won the Da Capo Best Music Writing 2010 award.

Love all the old EPMD videos.
Ive never seen that video before, dedly
You ever watch Snoops youtube show? I can understand people thinking its inane stoner ramblings but shit like his Suga Free episode is a must watch. Snoops my hero tbh, only rapper to unofficially retire gracefully
You know if they did much w the Ghetto D reissue, wouldnt mind having that
Ghetto D reissue has nice remastered sound + Snoop liner notes too. Just lacks the thick plastic jewelcase of the O.G.
Link me the Suga Free episode of Snoop's show plz.
Also picked up that CD for 2.99 recently and flogged my OG vinyl copy to a Bork for £15
Borkmarket babies.
Snoops post doggystyle music get very unfairly hated on up until sensual seduction I like most of his stuff. Both those Eastsidaz albums are low key classics.
