Late pass!

"I'm at the park tryna holla at every girl
The paint on the Chevy drippin' like a Jheri Curl"

Field Mob - At The Park
(From Light Poles and Pine Trees album; 2006)

Somebody in my comments recently suggested this is the G.O.A.T Field Mob song. I wouldn't quite go that far, but still everything's real in the Field because shit is a jam 4 real. It's kinda like Field Mob doing a KanYe West song and yet that's somehow not a bad thing in this instance.

Why'd nobody skool me on this song before? And how was it not a single?

Might be Polow’s 2nd best rap production after “Throw Some D’s” of course. In your opinion what is the best Field Mob song?

Boy Looka Here is even better than Throw Some D's, imho.

I'm a Project Dreamz guy as far as Field Mob go. This one might be top 3 though, I'll give you that 👌

So then how do you rate Rich Boy's Let's Get This Paper? Used to be my favourite song of his and maybe my favourite Polow production, although I kind of came back around to Boy Looka Here.

Absolute classic too.

It was, ive the 12”. This goes v hard, think Cut Loose is my fav field mob despite shawn jay ending his verse 2 one of the worst bars ever.

Highly recommend the album this is off, made me a fan of em n is them @ their rapping peak. Their punchlines got v weird by this

Nice, I often come across that album at some local record stores but never picked it up, it sounds like I probably should though.

Only Field Mob song I'm really acquainted-with is All I Know with Cee-Lo:

Total Dungeon Family-core, which I really enjoy.

Polow Tha Done was also 1/3 or Jim Crow, who had music in the same lane, their album is really worth checking out if you like that turn-of-the-century ATliens rap:

Meant to check out the Jim Crow stuff for a while now but never quite gotten round to it.

Funny you should mention Dungeon Family because another thing I like about At The Park is that it's the ideal song to play in a mix next to D.F's Follow The Light.

Jim Crows first album is a personal favorite of mine has some nice pre fame Jazze Pha production and a certified banger with Hot Boyz era Juvie.

Ah yeh, love Jim Crow(ahem). Need to find more turn of the century country rap tunes like them, Dirty, Field Mob n early Youngbloodz

The James brown one (ive a suspicion the Luda verse is censored cos he dissed TI in it "from the *tip* of your nose" etc)

Cheers 👍

Speaking of YoungBloodZ, BET actually did a half decent job covering them in surprising detail in december last year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRa_qMBWYl0

Oh shit! Nice.

Field Mob was just always positioned weirdly. People wanted them to be the second coming of the Dungeon Family, but that's not who they were at all.
