Contrary to what I'd thought
previously, Young Ready does have one good solo track and it just went visual. I'm told
Somethin' Serious blumps somethin' monumental in Baton Rogue's wildest bacchanalias of the night, but its true calling in life would be as the entrance music for Young Ready & Mista Cain in a tag-team wrestling match against their mutual enemies Foxx & Kevin Gates:
"The day they claim they all loved ya is the day ya died"
Young Ready - Somethin' Serious
(From Street Laws mixtape; 2013/YouTube; 2014)
Despite Young Ready's uncanny resemblance to
n.W.o-era Dennis Rodman in the
Somethin' Serious clip, the match's closest parallel would be
The Rare Oddities versus The Outsiders on Nitro in 1997: Ready & Mista Cain as Wrath & Mortis, Foxx & Gates as Hall & Nash,
Travis Ray from Dead Game Records as James Vanderberg, and FrankieThaLuckyDog as Syxx.

"Wrath I have 1 question for you...what, my son, is the riddle of steel?"
LMAO. Nash snappin'
Heat.
"3 kids so it matter if I live or die"
Lovin' the whole alien-planet-in-a-late-seventies-Dr-Who-episode swag of the scenes in this video where Ready is standing in the green room with the Wilko's disco balls and dollar bills hanging on bits of string.
gates and mista are cool, im confused.
This was my line of thinking: Foxx is beefing with both Ready & Mista; Mista is BFF's with Ready and Travis Ray, both of whom are none too fond of Gates; FrankieThaLuckyDog hates Mista and thinks Ready has "sold out" with his name change.
Ready aint got a problem with Gates, thats only Travis...the nigga was on his last tape.
You think? I dunno, having your CEO talk shit about someone for 8 minutes on the intro to your mixtape/album would indicate that you're not particularly fond of them.
As far as Gates' appearance on Hold That Noise goes, everything I've read suggests it was a "HAHA, we'll use this old verse of yours" fuck you from Travis & Ready, and that's why they couldn't feature it on the retail version of Street Laws for sale on iTunes and Amazon because Gates wouldn't clear it.
R.i.p.young ready
