(From NYC mixtape; 2023/Don In My City single; 2026)
I came across this song on Instagram earlier this week and thought it was pretty cool. But my epiphany with it came yesterday when Johnny The Boxxx compared it to a 2009 Jim Jones anthem. EUREKA! The video even features a sidekick homie who looks kinda like Sen City. A baronial New York banger which deserves a club like The Tunnel. Don't get it twisted tho: the remix will be an absolute shit sandwich of the usual boring N.Y rappers-turnt-podcasters + Remy Ma.
**EDIT** I just peeped this song on Soundcloud and it was #actually released 3 years and originally titled NYC. Sod it, tho - it's still a 2026 single to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is dope!
Top three New York single of 2026 so far.
(I only like three 2026 New York singles in total, but that's not the point 🤷♂️)
It’s been on repeat for the past few days. I don’t know why I like it so much but I’m going everywhere muttering ‘im the don in my city’
It's just very, very catchy.
And here's the French Montana x Max B remix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4o3ZQyH7iM&list=RDs4o3ZQyH7iM&start_radio=1
Max's voice is so bad on this. Hope this remix doesn't ruin the momentum of the original.
