Shout out Brendan Fraser, we in this bitch!

Egyptian Lover - Vocoder Jam
(From 1987 album; 2025)

Continuing on from the last post, here's a more recent Egyptian Lover song that I definitely do like. This MF is using a Vocoder to sound like a drunken Cyberman over some sexy squelchy Electro. When that moog-bass hits it's like "HOLY ROBO-SHIT!!" If Egyptian Lover isn't hired to soundtrack the new The Mummy movie then we riot!

Heaven is a place in New Orleans

OnlyHeaven - No Lie
(From YouTube; 2025)

I missed this one by OnlyHeaven AKA 5th Ward Breezie. This lass genuinely has one of my favourite voices in Rap right now: pleasantly piercing. Crazy visionz, BOOM: Ya Boy Big Choo is never gonna drop his remake of Dolamite's Hustlas, so OnlyHeaven should revamp it instead. Oi Johnny The Boxxx, have a word in her ear again plz.

God gave two versions of We Not Humping to you

Monaleo ft. Flo Milli - We Not Humping (remix)
(From We Not Humping (remix) single; 2022)

I've grown to like the We Not Humping remix almost as much as the original. That beat is so damn good you can just jam both versions back-to-back like late buses. Really don't understand how there are DJs out here complaining that there's no modern Rap for the dancefloor when there's two versions of We Not Humping staring them in the face. The problem is that DJs are too lazy to dig beyond Spotify playlist hits and too shook to play anything their punters are unfamiliar with. So, they've noone to blame but themselves that they're forced to play boring singles by Lil' Baby and Gunna through gritted teeth when they could be playing We Not Humping and Duke Deuce singles instead.

Hey DJs - God gave FNF (Let's Go) to you, gave Oochie Coochie to you, gave Je M'appelle to everyone.

All the DJs at the back sing along with me - God gave Fast (Motion) to you, gave Get Jumped to you, gave Bird Walk to everyone.

#P-LoHive

P-Lo - Boomerang
(From Boomerang single; 2020)

Since my comments turned into a surprise P-Lo fanclub meeting the other day, here's another of his recent singles I'm all over like Heinz ketchup on fish & chips (other ketchup brands are available!) Much like Yours and Get Me Lit, Boomerang puts the Fun into Function Music and comes as a welcome relief when so much current NorCal Rap is barely functional. Seriously - have you looked at Thizzler or Siccness recently? Both sites are near-endless successions of wannabe Da Boii, Mozzy and Lil' Yase clones whose music has more tickle than slap. Rap's grim up North California right now so these P-Lo singles are a much-needed blapp of Vitamin D.

True story or no story part 6

"Ay' I'm a reptable
Treat him like he cut the line 'cause he next to go
I think I'm a timebomb, yeah I'm next to blow
He was talkin' all that beef 'til he a vegetable"

Mac J - Sparky
(From the internet; 2020)

Now I'm checkin' in, check me out. Missed this one last month but now I've caught up it's my fave Mac blast since OldSkoo. Hookless if you take the song at face value in homage to producer Sparky Made It Slap, once you realise Check Me Out was the O.G title then there is a sneaky hook in there like Abu Hamza in a cheap suit.

Whenever I listen to Mac J on Soundcloud and leave shit runnin', it always ends up playing some terrible Mac Miller song with Juicy J. No disrespect to the dead, but Mac Miller sex-raps were second only to Mindbender Futurama sex-raps in terms of sheer horrificness.

Whateva Men

"We be gettin' groovy or whateva
WE LIKE MAKIN' MOVIES
Get another one 'cause two can could do it better
COME GET THIS TWO-PIECE"

Heavy Steppers - Whateva
(From the internet; 2020)

Whateva's USP: the Drill duo behind Heavy Steppers doing a BlocBoy JB song (sorta.) Far prefer this one to Heavy Steppers meself, TBH. Talk about video hoes that'll take your breath away, though. Time to get laid, blow up like the World Trade if they copped their dolls from Trotter's Independent Traders.

Same clique bonus beats: Grandmaster Spazz.

Puffy Dee Flow

"Because my attitude so nasty, I act just like my pappy
A lotta n*ggas want a piece of me like I'm some candy"

Flo Milli - My Attitude
(From YouTube; 2020)

I'm a child of 80s Beastie Boys so I'll always appreciate Brat-Rap in all its guises. What I'd also appreciate is a Flo Milli CD maxi-single with Not Friendly, Beef FloMix, and My Attitude on it.

PS: Not Friendly is the 'ardest song out right now.
