So, who we rollin' with? We rollin' with Windrush

Busy Signal ft. M24 - Badman Ting
(From Badman Ting single; 2023)

Hooooooold up, wait a minute - who and who on the same song? Even the dearly departed Mystic Meg couldn't have predicted that the Jamaican Dancehall artist Busy Signal would drop a London Drill riddim with the We Don't Dance Brixton breh who looks like Ivan Toney. Nor could Mystic Meg have predicted that the aforementioned gentlemen would go together as naturally as rice & peas. A yard 2 yard type big choon, and when I say yard 2 yard I ain't talkin' about that Consequence & Rhymefest song, booiiiiiii.

No shotz @ that Consequence & Rhymefest song, mind. - that's the jam and you can read that in Genesis.

Hits from the Bong

Laa Lee ft. Christale - Bong Bing
(From Bong Bing single; 2022)

Talk about So International - a Jamaican lad and a London lass make an Afro-Bashment choon that's big with dancers on social media. Never would have guessed Christale is the Militant girl because she sounds so different here freed from the constraints of that stupid U.K Drill flow.

And in completely unrelated news, here's a brand new Ezale snippet. Word around (Funk)town, this song and Hotel Motel are dropping together on Nevuary 1st.

**EDIT** oh Ezale dropped Ironic.

♫ I'm gon' send him to outta space to find another race ♫

Vybz Kartel - Yami Bolo
(From Yami Bolo single; 2020)

The paradox of Vybz Kartel is that the Worl' Boss™ often sounds like he's from another planet: he's spent the past 7 years rotting inside a jailcell in Jamaica yet he's still sneakily recording new songs which sound like alien transmissions from Jupiter. If that reads like swanky-arse hyperbole to you it's only because this song sounds like a space-age riddim to me innit.

Hat tip to Dank for hippin' me to this one.
