Highlight of that recent album of unreleased Sporty Thievz songs imho. Chauvinism as an artform with a dash of equal opportunity hating from da ladeez. Definitely feel like The Culcha™ was robbed of this song being the follow up single Cheapskate, though they'd have to get their Nutty Professor on to come up with a clean edit. Also a huge pity Hot Pursuit got shelved because it's some Sporty & The Bandit type shit which lives up to the Street Cinema title of their debut album.

Bonus beats: there's a few other deep gems on King Kirk's Bandcamp for #SportyThievzHive. Any Rap song with the Le Pamplemousse bass break is automatically a 4/5 banger.

Anyone got a link for that unreleased Sporty Thievz album and that unreleased Money Boss Players Minnesota just dropped recently?
ReplyDeleteOn “Ya Don’t Stop”, who is the first rapper? He’s great.
ReplyDeleteDope on a rope
ReplyDeleteJmil, I think that's Marlon Brando aka the one who died when he got hit by a car. Not entirely sure tho because all three of Sporty have similar voices.
ReplyDeleteThere's a parallel universe where "Fuck I Look Like" gets a proper release and becomes the biggest song of the summer in the year 2000
ReplyDeleteHah.
ReplyDeleteThere's a couple of joints on the 2nd Sporty album which had hella potential to be big, Party & Pimpin' being the most obvious,
wow good looks on the link to their shelved 2nd album on Bandcamp. Never heard this. Can't believe it's 2021 and I'm just finding out a "Spy Hunter" sequel exists. Part 1 was a rap nerd fan fave
ReplyDeletealso wtf why isn't Fuck I Look Like on their second album? That was the single! wtf
ReplyDeleteit was also a roller skating song for whatever reason
Yeah I don't understand why it's not on there either.
ReplyDeleteHaving said that, Mac Daddy is missing from the first album on Bandcamp so maybe there's legal issues with a few tracks?
