(From 75 In The Can single; 2021)
75 In The Can? More like Recorded With A Coca Cola Can amirite? Nonetheless, Max having his wicked way with a cheap revamp of Dru Down's favourite song by The Fat Boys is right up my road.
It's New York treats friday with new Max and an album of unreleased Sporty Thievz songs. Dogz and Thief Thing are soundin' like some vintage Sporty X Ski Beatz to me.
Max making better music behind bars in the past two years than most rappers in their entire career.
ReplyDeleteAdd this and Phenomenon to the Charly EP.
ReplyDeleteThe cheapness rly adds to this
ReplyDeleteAlso, is the "Jail House Rap" the most enduring sample in rap? I'd say either that one or "Boyz N The Hood".
ReplyDeleteThem Larry Smith & Davy DMX productions + all revamps of them are timeless for real.
ReplyDeletethey didn't flip it as well as Digital Underground's DJ Fuse did for Dru, but i'll take it. Best Fat Boys song, for sure.
ReplyDeleteDru Down's Jailhouse Rap flip which was supposed to be in on the Original Gangstas soundtrack is hot too.
ReplyDeleteWow!!! I don't think I've ever heard this.
ReplyDeleteDru Down should've been a blockbuster movie star after Original Gangsters (a Gary Indiana classic)
Can't forget the scene that features the Luniz dancing by a jukebox in a restaurant for no reason

Dancing to their own song from the soundtrack was a good flex 😄
ReplyDeleteDru in Original Gangstas was the o.g Cam in Paid In Full.
still waiting for this to drop
