(From SugaKane album; 2023)
This Suga Free & Kokane album features some bakin' soda free treats for those of us who thought Bring It On was the best song on Snoop's Tha Last Meal CD. Personal highlight has gotta be Bitch In Da Trunk: a funk upon a rhyme street gospel to put the dip da in your day and the tip toe in your two step. It's music to Scare The Hoes™, but in a good way. That said, here at The Martorialist we don't condone throwing a bitch in da trunk - unless it's Ice-T's definition of a Bitch and the Bitch in question is a Bobby.
There isn't a single wasted second in Reservoir Dogs, which makes it all the more ironic that every movie Quentin Tarantino has made post-2000 has wasted my time by being at least 20 minutes too long. Being branded an Auteur has been the downfall of many a director. THEY SHOULDA NEVER GAVE YOU GUYS CARTE BLANCHE!!
Coolio's car boot in the Fantastic Voyage was like the rapper's equivalent of the TARDIS.

ReplyDeleteReally doe, Coolio coulda been a great Doctor Who.
"Really doe, Coolio coulda been a great Doctor Who." Agreed. Kool Keith, Biz Markie and MF Doom would have been good candidates too, imo.
ReplyDeleteDOOM had big Peter Butterworth energy so he'd make a perfect Meddling Monk.
ReplyDeleteTha Last Meal is Snoop's second best album
ReplyDeleteDefinitely.
ReplyDeleteWest Coast OGz doing what they do best is rather fail proof. I was curious to check out who produced that song, and it turns out it’s a friend of a friend, ha. Only met the guy once briefly but we did chat about Long Beach G-Funk (Foesum, Twinz etc…) around a joint, good times.
ReplyDeleteTha Last Meal is awesome, kinda wish that Studio Ton would have had a whole song instead of just a skit, and maybe another Quik beat would have been good since his two joints on No Limit Top Dogg were excellent but I’m nitpicking here.
would Ramellzee have made a good Doctor Who or was he too weird and angular for all that?
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, Rammellzee would have made the absolute perfect successor to Tom Baker. In fact, I can't believe they didn't cast him after his cameo in Stranger Than Paradise.
ReplyDeleteFred, what's the producer's name? Everything else you said is on point like Stacey Adams.
Wait, there’s a Rammelzee cameo in Stranger Than Paradise? I didn’t know that.
ReplyDeleteHis name is MOFAK (also his real first name), he’s a French dude that does a lot of Modern Funk (think XL Middleton, Dam-Funk etc…) and some G-Funk too.
Cool. It's a great beat.
ReplyDeletePeep Rammellzee's cameo.
I would take no limit top dogg over the last meal tbh
