The Roosh V Is On Fire

Positive K & MC Lyte - I'm Not Havin' It
(From The First Priority Music Family: Basement Flavor compilation; 1988)

Sid The Sexist taught us that conversation is often the best foreplay, thus Rap songs about chirpsing will always be preferable to Rap songs about shagging. The O.G. battle of the sexes/wits Rap duet, I'm Not Havin' It was the inspiration for Mary J. Blige & Grand Puba's What's The 411?, as well as the prototype for Positive K's own PUA Righteous Chirpsers anthem I Got A Man. Pos' & MC Lyte recently dropped a 2k19 follow-up and it knocks on some Men Are From The Bronx, Women Are From Brooklyn type shit. All you need for one of these songs is good banter and a good beat.

Positive K & MC Lyte - I'm Still Not Havin' It
(From YouTube; 2019)

Word around town, Positive K plans to renounce his PUA past in a Rap duet with Foxy Brown over the Seven Minutes Of Funk sample. The song's title? Ain't No Negga.

  5. Faves:

Positive K & MC Lyte - I'm Not Havin It
Mary J. Blige ft. Grand Puba - What's The 411?
    Ice Cube ft. YoYo - It's A Man's World
Project Pat ft. La Chat - Chickenhead
Bo Deal ft. Mello G Blanca - Safe Sex
Mr.2-17 ft. The Ratchets - This Or That

There's definitely not enough Battle Of The Sexes songs. Some fantasy pairings:

Snoop vs. Lady Of Rage circa 1994.
Biggie vs. Lil' Kim circa 1996/1997.
Trina vs. Lil' Wayne circa 2005.

  6. I suppose some people might condider Monster Jam by Spoonie Gee & The Sequence the O.G. Battle Of The Sexes song. I see their point, but it's too good natured to be truly canon, imho.

A true Battle Of The Sexes song needs #banter.

  7. E-40 vs Silk-E - Lieutenant Roast A Botch
Too Short & 4-Tay - Dont Fight The Feeling
    Man suga free needed one.

Sickened none of Skinny Pimps songs w his I Got A Man style alter ego qualify

  8. Trick Daddy & Trina - Nann N***a

  9. Apart from Lieutenant Roast A Botch those other songs are borderline. True Battle Of The Sexes rap duets need to have back-and-forth #banter throughout the song, imho.

Summat like Akinyele & Uneek's Do You Wanna? is also borderline because although it's a back-and-forth they're not really talking shit to each other.

I was thinking about Suga Free for the fantasy picks too but I dunno who would be a good fit as his femme foe. Ditto Mac Dre (Marvaless had no sense of humour so she wouldn't be a good fit.)

  10. Nightmare fantasy Battle Of The Sexes rap duet would be a Street's Disciple-era Nas one with Kelis where he ghostwrote her rhymes. It'd be full of Nas' horrific weird sex raps about shitting and STDs.

  11. Yeh it was p one sided from Danger Zone on Dont Fight The Feeling n they didnt trade bars like. I swear Mia X had one of these but its slipped my mind.

Only thing worse than Nas would be KRS, the thought of him on the pull makes my neck hurt. Also im amazed Slick Rick never had one this is way up his alley.

  12. A KRS & Ms. Melody one would have been 😷

A Slick Rick one would be good as long as it's not with that boring Intelligenz bird who supports him at his live shows. Ol' Talib Kylie soundin'-ass lass.

  14. Three 6 Mafia - Baby Mama is a classic of the genre

  15. That K-Rino song is great. Definite new entry into my canon.

Which reminds me, K-Rino just dropped a T.I. Vs T.I.P. type song about flat Earth theory vs. spherical Earth reality. Gotta hear/see both sides or wot?

  22. Never bothered to check that before because Spoonie Gee already made a song called Get Off My Tip.

    Definite birth of the canon.
