File this under 'songs which are one long hook.' Some Bone Thugs-N-Mic T type shit I'm jamming in the hope its frequency will power up Krayzie Bone. Nowadays everybody always fronts like they became instant Bone fans the first time they heard Thuggish Ruggish Bone. Me, I was unconvinced until MTV started playing Foe Tha Love Of $, and then it was on like Donkey Kong and I copped Creepin' On Ah Come Up like it was T.I.'s 4th best single.

Bone thugs in ‘84 huh? Never was well versed in BTnH aside from their biggest songs, top 10 in your opinion?
ReplyDeleteSlip of the stylus pen 🤦♂️
ReplyDeleteJust start with the first EP and album.
When this year is over we need a best of Mic Terror for 2023 alone lol. Glad he’s still going strong
ReplyDeleteIn no specific order, top 5 so far:
ReplyDeleteJuiceman Freestyle
Might Pimp
Chinese Money
Lori Lightfoot
BLDYMRDA
Viagra Triangle was cool also. I like Titty Song as well (lol) but wish they saved that beat. Perfect Midwest fly shit.
ReplyDeleteSomeone needs to make Titty Song go viral.
ReplyDeletenaturally I have to ask about the 3 best T.I. singles according to you
ReplyDelete1. 24's
ReplyDelete2. Rubber Band Man
3. Be Easy
.. is what I was thinking. But I've reconsidered and decided that ASAP is better than Be Easy.
just to say that I really did (and still do) like Thuggish Ruggish Bone when I heard it on Westwood in 94. Everything else I heard from BTNH not so much, although I've only heard the singles and given the size of their catalogue there must be some deep cuts somewhere I'd enjoy
ReplyDeleteYou should check the first EP. You'll definitely like that if you're into Thuggish Ruggish Bone.

ReplyDeleteBone blew up so big in the midwest for a number of reasons, but one of the most important: they looked like dudes you went to school with
This Mic T song is so good. Wish more Chicago rappers leaned into that smooth playa shit that blew the city up in 96.
Yeah that vibe is definitely lacking nowadays 🙁
ReplyDeleteI always thought Bone wore their Carhartt and Dickies clobber a bit grimier than rappers from the West.
Let’s not forget BTH’s Rap City appearance with Bizzie Bone going nuts at the end: https://youtu.be/I8rIX8lZVrA?si=ApvLvEYkS4pAk2sR
ReplyDeleteTop 3 Rap City performance for me with the one where Cam’Ron counts his cash while rapping and a couple Lil Wayne ones that could all have a place in the spot.
I concur.
ReplyDeleteMoney in a Ziplock Bag ftw
