Generic list post: August 2021

Styles P & Max B - Kill That Faggot (remix)
(From Max B's Million Dollar Baby 2 mixtape; 2008)

Obligatory wrap-up post of those songs I've played most during the month when Styles P didn't break Max B outta prison to perform the Kill That Faggot remix at the LOX and Dipset Verzuz. And that's why there needs to be a rematch when Max gets out.

Little Shawn - Hickeys On Your Chest (video) (1992)
Digable Planets - Little Renee (1993)
BIA - Whole Lotta Money (2020)
Ezale - Raised Like This (2021)
Stunnaman02 & QuakeBeatz - Big Steppin' (2021)
Homeboy Sandman - Go Hard (2021)
Max B - Revolution (2021)
Rio Da Yung OG & RMC Mike - Give Me Lyfe (2021)
Stephanie Mills - Never Get Enough Of You (1983)
Cookiee Kawaii ft. Justin Love - Donkey (2021)

Other notables: quite like Capitol 1 by EST Gee; AZ's The Wheel ain't my favourite shit but it's still a billion times better than Nas' new album (wtf? @ the guests on Doe Or Die 2 tho.)

PS: when Homeboy Sandman says "I'm like Samson in reverse" on Go Hard he's really talking about Romelu Lukaku.

  4. That's definitely the best song in there. But I'd rather listen to Lakey's Death Row Is Back meself.

  7. Goddamit AZ

So Czarface produced Found My Niche?

It says produced by Czar Keys, I just thought it was some rando who AZ put on - now I feel dirty for liking that beat...

  8. 😆 The only thing that's gonna save this album now is if it has We Movin', It's Time etc as bonus tracks.

Having waited on it for years now, I can't bring myself to listen to that AZ just yet. The guest look out of place in every instance.
Wondering if it some of them (eg T-Pain) are several years old at this point, and he has just slowly accumulated enough to out a full length out there. It doesn't seem at all cohesive on paper. Looks more like a Jadakiss album.

I think that run he had from AWOL up to We Moving might be done now but there must be a couple of joints on there worth checking.

  10. Could be worse tho - it could have Westside Gunn on there 🤮

  11. He should stop putting out new music and just drop different iterations of Memphis Sessions for the rest of his career. Imagine him rapping over Tom Jones samples for an entire album...

  12. Yeah I’m not going to be shocked if the new AZ is disappointing cause I remember being pretty unimpressed with Undeniable after his run from Aziatic up to the Format.

  13. Ben, Undeniable was a definite disappointment but has sone good stuff on there.

Admiral, he could call it The Pontypridd Sessions!

  14. I think im the only person on the internet that really likes Undeniable.

  15. Undeniable has at least 3 classics tho -- The Game Don't Stop, Life on the Life, and The Hardest

  16. Ah yeah, forgot all about that one.
