(From Relax Your Mind single; 2021)
Back up on the Jersey Club shore again today. Here at The Martorialist we don't listen to no Hip-Hop on Sunday mornings, we listen to rebranded New JeR&Bsey Hip-House. Word around the cosmos, God sayz go upwards of 125 BPM or go home.
Ol' girl Kawaii clearly understands the B&B rule: if your single's video must have an intro then fill said intro with Birds & Bums. Take note rappers!
Video is definitely not safe for work lol.
ReplyDeleteOn tempo, lass. Class your ass to what she's doin'.
ReplyDeleteUNIIQU3 dropped an EP the other day (called "bitches is outside vol.1)
ReplyDeleteO rly?
ReplyDeletethis shit is so good!!! tbh i think the world might be ready for a martorialist list of the best hip house songs of all time...
ReplyDelete1. EPMD - It's Time 2 Party
ReplyDeleteThat UNIIQU3 EP was not sooo great in the end (a bit to ravy)... but Cookiee will drop an album soon ... I kinda like this music for cycling or similar activities in the sun ... many late 80s albums had one or more songs based on a house beat but I would consider that as a different genre as to what those NJ girls are doing ... Jungle Brothers 'I'll House You' or Rob Base & Dj EZ-Rocks' whole career being obvious examples ... most early Fast Eddie was good ... or Monie Love 'Ring My Bell'... The Bizzie Boys also had one ... there must be a lot of those ...
ReplyDeleteYeah UNIIQU3'S Groove was by far the best song on the EP.
ReplyDeleteLots of different strands of Hip-House imo. To me, Mic Terror's Juke Them Hoes is a form of Hip-House.
