Mozzy ft. E-Mozzy & Celly Ru - Love Slidn
(From Bladadah album; 2015)

Kudos to Rey for being the first person I ever saw post Mozzy's shit, and kudos to SE for being the first person to identify Love Slidn as 2015's most sensual piece of northern Californian mob music.

You know who gets the ultimate kudos tho? The first person to suss out where the Love Slidn saxophone sample comes from. Them toots sound lush enough to pass for a Bernard Herrmann Taxi Driver OST outtake but it'll probably transpire they come from a Herman's Hermits deep cut or some shit.

  1. A small "A Mozzy Compilation 4 U" would be nice, Mozzy has way too many tapes out to go through

  2. I'm guessing it's off one of the Lethal Weapon movies' soundtracks.

I'm not the man to put together a Mozzy compilation since I'm only up on a couple of his full lengths.

  4. Still bumpin this album. The new one is good too, tho lacking the smooth jazz caress of "Love Slidn."

  11. Mozzy doesn't need a 'compilation 4 u' imo he's too consistent. Basically every tape since his DJ Fresh one is on point. Each one is more consistent than the one before.

  12. That sax sample has got to be from some Weather Channel/Smooth Jazz/Sky EPG shit like Najee. Definitely closer to that Kenny G wave than Hermann's Earl Bostic stylings, and way too smooth even for 80s action movies.

    You know about this, right?
