  1. Great list, but what about that Canibus track, he isn't from Queens, is he?

  2. Hmmm. I always thought he was from Queens.

Provide evidence to the contrary so I can edit this and replace that song with Rotten Apple by Royal Flush.

  3. Replace it anyway. Royal Flush is light-years ahead of Canibus due to at one point having an Aussie sheila named Blue managing him and the fact that he's never felt the need to rap about aliens.

  6. I'm The Authenic by PHD's another good one that should be on here.

  7. That doesn't count since it came out officially on Tuff City in the year it was recorded.

Thinkin' about it, I guess Rotten Apple by Royal Flush wouldn't count either because Blunt released it officially and then the sample clearance case happened.

  8. Got damn, I had no idea Tragedy and Hot Day had a group. Sounds like he's barely entered puberty, tho he would've been about 15 at the time.

  9. Young Westwood on "Slow and Low!"

  10. There's so many great Mobb Deep songs that fit into this category.

Original version of "Temperature's Rising" >>>>>>

  11. Super Kids actually released a couple of official singles back then too:

The Tragedy (Don't Do It) (1986)

Live At Hip Hop USA/Go Queensbridge (1987)

Westwood played some great unrealeased Tragedy cuts in 1993 including a track called Adolescents At War that was incredible. Still waitin' on him to release that one properly.

  12. I always thought Canibus was from New Jersey. Searching for evidence I found out he's from everywhere: Kingston, NY, NJ, D.C., Atlanta, Miami, Buffalo, London...

  13. Rotten Apple was only a promo 12". The same way Calm Down, Married To Marijuana and Dead Man Walking were released as promos.

Pretty sure "Pearly Gates" might be the only worthwhile thing Exile's ever done, but what a thing to do.

  15. "Pearly Gates" was the silver lining of the Blood Money album.
