Ten four - we have an AZN dropping n-bombs in the Calliope Projects! Officer required!

Is there a special loophole that allows AZN rappers to drop n-bombs because they're the last racial demographic it's vaguely acceptable to mock in polite AmeriKKKan society today, or is it merely a reparation of sorts for the anti-AZN racism peddled by Bun B, Ice Cube, Da Lench Mob et al at the turn of the nineties? I refer you not to the new Katie Got Bandz mixtape for the latest example of this phenomenon because we already know she drops n-bombs like she's auditioning for a cameo on N.W.A's Efil4zaggin, but to Ace B's verse on this new edition to the grand imperial Percy Miller's Bout It Bout It trilogy:

Master P presents Money Mafia - We Bout It
(From that internet; 2014)

Man, the anti-AZN conspiracy has been so real in 2014: Jackie Chain's intended major label single Party Girls got leaked by his former DJ on an unofficial retail EP that had zero promotion and was consequently ignored by 95% of the rap internet; and The Raid 2 has thus-far failed to trouble all those year-end best movie of 2014 lists which do contain such utter tripe as Richard Linklater's 3 hour exploration of how the word ‘like’ has decimated the vocabularies of 95% of all caucasian American males under the age of 25, and Jean-Luc Godard's latest incomprehensible exploration of the inside of his own arsehole... in 3D!

Never has Werner Herzog's "Someone like Jean-Luc Godard is for me intellectual counterfeit money when compared to a good kung fu film" quote felt more germane.

  1. Raid 2 is easily the best movie of 2014

  2. When/where/what did Bun B say and do?

  3. From Bun's verse on Cocaine In The Back Of The Ride:

"Bust a nut on her stomach, wash my dick in her sink
Then buy a 40 at the store from the godamn Chink"

Wonder if that line came up in convo when Bun appeared on Jackie Chain's Parked Outside?

  5. Yeah, this track is definitely the Bout It analogue to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

  7. Raid 2 was overstretched for me, not as good as the first one despite (or maybe due to) ramping up the action. Even the first one was going on a bit by the end. (Ducks flying machete blows.)

I'd love to know your top 10 films of the year, since these occasional flashes of cinephilia pop up on here from time to time. The Lego Movie shat on most other things I saw this year.

  9. Jack, I liked these. No specific order, mind:

    Under The Skin
    The Raid 2
    The Lego Story
    The Babadook
    The Rover
    Maps To The Stars
    Nightcrawler
    Wolf Of Wall Street
    The Drop

Best scene of the year was impromptu Mac Dre train party in Fruitvale Station. A moment of sheer joy before the one of the saddest conclusions ever :(

  10. That's not too far off from my personal fave movies of 2014:

    The Raid 2
    The Wolf of Wall Street
    Under the Skin
    The Babadook
The Strange Colour of Your Body's Tears
    The Rover
    Nightcrawler
    Wolf Creek 2
    Maps to the Stars
    The Guest

Another good year for films prefixed with "the" in the title.

    The Grand Budapest Hotel
    The Wind Rises
Dawn of The Planet of The Apes
    Edge of Tomorrow
    The Raid 2

  13. Moore and Cusack are two actors I really can't stand for no real discernible reason. Hats off to Davey C for making them tolerable though.

The Guest is your typical corny and predictable straight to video action thriller, but that dude off Dowton Abbey played an entertaining psycho Jason Bourne

    Anyway, Merry Christmas, blud!

  14. Merry xmas too, King Kos!

Jack - I thought Cosmopolis was great but it's definitely an acquired watch. A Dangerous Method was rubbish, imo.

  16. Feel like Hammer Girl would make a good internet misandrist movement icon: http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2014/103/2/e/the_raid_2__hammer_girl__by_firdaliska-d7e9wv5.jpg
