  1. Wiz + Curren$y song with the sample of "Africa" by Toto is my shit.

  2. "We Are Strong" Lil Bibby & Kevin Gates (Love Is A Battlefield) has been getting some play over here.

The No Limit 80's remakes were usually bad ideas. The Kane & Abel joint might be the worst.

  3. Kane & Abel song made the Cyndi Lauper original superfluous, imo.

P at the grand piano >>>>>>

  4. Also, I just remembered JR Writer's Uptown Girl as an honourable mention.

  5. "Wiz + Curren$y song with the sample of "Africa" by Toto is my shit."

Ja Rule - Reign>>>> that and the Nas one but mainly just for the legendary video where Swayze attempts to take down the Murder Inc empire.

People need to sample The Police more. You could make another one of these with just Dipset, No Limit, Bad Boy & Max. Or just Mario Puzo weak shit made good eg Husalah's Mamaco

  6. Where's that sample from Mamaco come from?

  9. Had no idea there was a video for Time After Time until now. Best case of all-white suited rapper pretending to play piano since MC Shan.

  10. "PHD - Set It Off" sampled Police the first I think https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1TurWAnqTI

"Street Law" by Pastor Troy was cool too.

  11. Where's the Police sample in Set It Off? I was thinking of including that as the token In The Air Tonight sample choice but went for What's Going On, Black? instead.

  12. My bad, i was thinking about Genesis not Police.

  13. Check out my More examples of Phil Collins' profound influence on Rap post for the first rap song that sampled In The Air Tonight.

  14. It'd be cool if you did a post rounding up examples of rappers egregious taste in Caucasoid music (coldplay, maroon 5 etc.) inadvertently producing classic rap material.

  15. That list would probably be about 5 songs deep, tbh.

Pokin' Out by Slim Thug, Z-Ro & Paul Wall would be a good recent example, though.

can we get a post on Gazza out here looking like an extra in a Bobby Schmurda video?

  17. Gazza needs to get them Chief Keef dreads to go with his new Shmurda Gang wardrobe.

Gaza's version of Hot N*gga would feature him shoutin' out Raoul "Moaty" Moat.
