(From DJ Green Lantern's Grand Theft Auto IV Liberty City Invasion (OST); 2008)
I could never quite fathom out why a handful of bargain bin Tom Breihan type rap writers made such a kerfuffle about Jon Caramanica's "the avant garde need not be moral" line in a Cam'Ron review. Surely if there's anything to take Caramanica to task about then it's the time he called A$AP Ferg "the most sonically curious rapper since Nicki Minaj, and the possessor of an unusual, winning blend of artistic integrity", no?
Is this what SODMGberg is referring to in his tweets re: my krazy life? About it being great because it fools "nihilistic crackers" into thinking its not moralistic?
ReplyDeleteI 'unno.
ReplyDeleteCan we get a clarification or is Brendan is too busy sticking pins in his Katherine St. Asaph voodoo doll whilst watching Max Hardcore movies?
There was a shitstorm over Caramanica calling Macklemore "post-black" too.
ReplyDeleteCaramanica HAS to be on the A$AP payroll if he really said that.

ReplyDeleteWoe be it for me to repair the reputation Sodaberg takes great joy in cutting up on the edges of his brand new issue of Young Avengers by his own self, but the sub-Breihan was going @ some perceived sub-Caramancia scene or something.
ReplyDeleteIt's a little funny it's coming from a guy who openly bragged about going to a liberal arts college on twitter so he didn't have to associate with normal people.
ALUMNI NEED NOT BE NORMAL!
