I'm glad you've posted this one up because I bought that Lil' Troy cd about a month ago in Camden for 5£, mostly based on the featured artists listed on the cover hehe.
I got the "red cover" version, not the blue one, so I'm missing that smooth 3-2 song at the beginning.
But anyway, I wanted to ask, do you have more background infos about that cd, because it feels more like a compilation than a proper release, and I'm not sure that Lil Troy actually raps on all of them, it's hard to hear and I'm a bit confused ...
Anyway, that Baller single is an awesome track, and yeah, that hook is hella catchy ! The rest of the album is decent late 90's texan stuff I'd say.
Yeah, that album is basically a glorified compilation like Yungstar's Throwed Yung Playa albums. I guess it must have been a trend in Houston at the time?
All I know is that Lil' Troy used to be in Mass 187, there's 2 versions of Sittin' Fat Down South (indie and major label reissue), and Troy doesn't actually appear on Wanna Be A Baller.
Hassan Yale the realest
ReplyDeleteGaddamn Google+ integration.
ReplyDeleteVideo version doesn't include the best verse which is the 2nd Yungstar one.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I never even knew there was a 2nd Yungstar verse or HAWK was on the song until I bought the 12".
ReplyDeleteThen again, I was one of the people who thought Lil' Troy was Yungstar and vice versa.
