Mixtape highlight Zone'n is a subaquatic Auto-Tune jam which makes ya boy Greil Brother Marquis right chea feel like I've got a mermaid swimming in my living room or I'm dancing in the rain with kids climbing up mountains and shit; both handy mental distractions since Ty$ veers dangerously close to Rap & Bullshit Game Ched Evans territory here as he plys the song's various girls with drink and drugs until they're barely conscious and then porks them. Good enough for Anna Faris in Observe And Report, then good enough for imaginary women in sleazy Rap & Bullshit ballads too?
no Mac Miller, I'm a pussy killer
said she love me, I don't feel her"

Bonus audio processor related Rapper malapropisms : here a Jadakiss interview where he calls Auto-Tune "Audio-Tunes", one of his great mispronunciations alongside that time he said "I'm on a higher ekk-ey-lon" on Welcome To The Roc :
"My Cabana" stayed on repeat for 2 weeks before this shit dropped and lo and behold this foolish young negro remixed and re-recorded this thing to sound like shit.
ReplyDeleteHe makes up for that misstep with the skit at the end of "Know Y I Came" which promptly rolls into "Another One"
Also, "4 A Young" gets played at absurdly loud levels in the ride.
Re-recording a viral single for a mixtape is a crime that should be punishable by a week in a Bosnian prison.
ReplyDeleteAgreed on 4 A Young. I've not even listened to Another One due to Dom Kennedy being on it, though.
Do you have the original “My Cabana”?

The worst part bout redoing My Cabana is all the confusions gonna make some people not cop how it was one of the best songs of 2012.
Never thought audio-tunes would evolve to the point half my favourites atm are boxed out, it used to just be the odd N Luv With A Stripper/Me And My Drank exception.
I ain't never seen Brian McFadden walkin' on dat Ramsay Street.
ReplyDelete"Beach Hou$e" is my favorite project that was released this year. And it's solely due to the fact that there's no YG and very little Joe Moses, who both flat-out suck at rapping. He's like The Weeknd if he was from Los Angeles instead of Toronto.
ReplyDeleteOnly a rip off YouTube.
ReplyDeleteThe one from the video right?
